Evidence for a second-order latent construct of self-directed learning readiness in virtual teams in Hungary

The study focuses on the development of virtual teams from perspective individuals by extending theory self-directed learning (SDL) beyond extant research in nursing education and applying it to a sample adult population working Hungary. After finding necessary theoretical steps connect SDL with teams, was conducted validate existing instruments or, if this is impossible, develop new instrument for teams. results confirm viability theories context that mostly work remotely. While validity known readiness (SDLR) developed could not be reliably confirmed adults supported conventional three-factor SDLR construct reduced item number. In study, authors advance measurement tool, referred as SDLR9, which, while mirroring three original factors literature, also points higher-order latent variable.
